I Heart The New Twitter Web Look!Thursday, September 30, 2010 Mary Anne Velasco
I've logged in to my Twitter.com account yesterday morning and a pop-up has showed up giving me the option to try the new Twitter layout:
Curious as I always am, I've clicked the "OK, thanks!" button without even thinking twice.
On the topmost part of the layout, you can there's a navigation menu for HOME, PROFILE and MESSAGES. The main body of the new Twitter layout is divided into two columns with the same width. The column to the left provides its users a "What's Happening?" box or commonly referred to as "The Shoutbox". Just right below "The Shoutbox" is a navigation tab consisting of Timelines, @Mentions, Retweets, Searches and your Twitter Lists. On the right a summary of your Twitter profile and activities: your number of tweets, your most recent tweet, your pic, your followers, "Tweeple" you are following, favorites and where you've been listed. This column also contains Twitter shout trends and a suggestion widget of who to follow.
Another great feature about the new Twitter is the ability to share videos and photos without leaving your Twitter page. Now we can easily comment on our friends' videos and pics or simply retweet 'em. How cool is that?
