Few things in between Weddings
The Most Talked About Marriage Proposal And Wedding on Fox TV’s MobbedThursday, June 16, 2011 Mary Anne Velasco
I just got home from grocery shopping. The sun was shining proud at 18°C --- hot but cold. The weather was quite confusing but well, I’d rather prefer that than getting hours of rain. I fixed myself a good cup of hot cappuccino, logged into my FaceBook account and ta-da! --- Bebe posted an interesting YouTube video on my wall.
Eager as always, I started watching it! You should too, right?
So before I go on, here’s the video! Enjoy!
In case you’re curious, this flash mob marriage proposal which is followed right away by the wedding is the premiere episode [aired on March 31] of the new reality show on FOX TV called Mobbed. The show’s host is no other than the famous comedian Howie Mandel.
MOBBEDHost Howie Mandel puts a hidden-camera spin on the "flash mob" concept. Mandel and hundreds of strangers will help special guests plan extraordinary surprises for friends, family members, loved ones or co-workers. These unknowing participants will be shocked and stunned by surprise performances that lead up to fantastic reveals that include a husband learning that his wife is pregnant, an applicant finding out that she got the job and a marriage proposal, among others.
"It's so exciting to be a part of this huge musical spectacle never before attempted on this scale." said Mandel.
Throughout the hour, the guests will be shown prepping for the event - rehearsing their routines and refining their speeches - all while receiving guidance from host Mandel. Then, on the day of the big event - with the hidden cameras rolling - the detailed plan comes to fruition and suddenly explodes into a song-and-dance spectacle they are sure never to forget. What begins as a few dancers evolves into a grand-scale performance that wraps up with a life-changing announcement for the participants like nothing ever seen on TV.
MOBBED is produced by Alevy Productions and Angel City Factory. Howie Mandel, Chris Cowan, Jean-Michel Michenaud, Mike Marks, Darryl Trell, Howard Kitrosser, Kevin Healey and Michael Rotenberg serve as executive producers. It is based on a format created by Mandel, Trell and Kitrosser. ~~~ www.FOX.com
Going back to the most talked about marriage proposal and wedding:
Justin Davis’ marriage proposal to her girlfriend of almost three years, Nikki Marquez, is charming and truly entertaining. Justin has set the marriage proposal bar so high… oh my!
I’ve read some unkind remarks though regarding the video. Some say that it’s nuts, scripted, too cheesy, ridiculous, etc. Some expresses their sentiment of pity to the girl being not given the opportunity to think things through, the wedding dress that won’t even zip, the make up that’s running through her face… and more.
The way I see it, the sparks in their eyes, the blissful smiles and those tears of joy are enough to prove how deeply in love Justin and Nikki are. The wedding dress might not be the bride’s dream gown, her make up might have been a total mess but it sure looks like getting married right after the proposal is something she’s happy to do. After all, she’ll be marrying the man of her dreams!
In your opinion, do you find Justin and Nikki’s marriage proposal and wedding extremely breathtaking or not? Do you love it, hate it or are you somewhere in between?
