It’s Wednesday, I’m off from work and with nothing planned for the day, I am feeling restless. When at work, I always look forward to my rest day. When it’s finally here, instead of relaxing and taking it easy I feel so jaded and worthless. Life’s ironic, isn’t it? I mean, ask Alanis Morisette and she’ll sing you a familiar song to prove it.
When boredom strikes [like today], my usual weapons of choice are to watch an action packed movie that I pick at random from our DVD and Blu-ray collection, sing karaoke [my apologies, neighbors! *wink*], go downtown and do some shopping or simply spend time on YouTube.
Because of the chilly might-be-raining weather today, I decided to skip the shopping option. I stayed indoors, watched four films [yeah, four!], picked up the microphone and before my boyfriend arrived home from work, I managed to check out episodes 1 to 3 of Heineken ‘Dropped’ Philippines.

To find out whether legends are born or made, Heineken®, as part of its latest global campaign ‘Voyage’, is undertaking its most daring experiment so far. The goal is simple --- to test what men are truly made of when taken out of their daily lives and dropped into the great unknown. If you’re a fan of the telly show, Survivor, then you’ll immediately get the picture. Cool, huh?
Imagine this: You are a highly social character, exuberant, out-going and confident. You get chosen to go on a legen-wait-for-it-dary adventure – something you have never attempted doing before – an entire new experience that will test your patience, resourcefulness and wit. With no clue whatsoever, you find yourself in a remote global location with nothing but the most basic of supplies and directions. Each protagonist will have to test their own limits as they conquer their fear while facing challenges such as tough terrain, weather, modes of transportation, etc. The result is ‘Dropped’ - a series of totally unscripted episodic adventures following our intrepid explorers on their bizarre outrageous unforgettable travel experience.
‘Voyage’, the fifth installment of the Heineken® ‘Legends’ platform is an integrated campaign, which is available on a on a number of programs across broadcast, digital and mobile allowing consumers to have a truly enthralling adventure via the Heineken® Dropped YouTube channel. Here, viewers will be able to follow each ‘Dropped’ voyage and access documentary-style contents. And do you know that everyone can also submit their own video entries to the casting couch? Who knows? You might just get lucky and be picked to experience the rush.
Their FINAL DESTINATION? HOME. For all we know legends aren't made, they’re ‘Dropped’.
Question is, will they make it? The answer solely depends on each adventurer.
