The Davao Crocodile Park Complex, Davao City, Philippines

by - Thursday, June 25, 2009

When you are visiting Davao City in the Philippines, I recommend that you visit The Davao Crocodile Park. Going there will never be a problem since most people know where it is located. If you do not have a private car, the friendly taxi drivers of the city can easily take you there. If you will be riding from the city premises, it will only take around 10 minutes for you to get there by cab (no worries - traffic's not a problem in Davao City).

The park is open 7 days a week. The park is ready to accept visitors from 8'oclock in the morning until 4:45 in the afternoon. Entrance fee costs Php100 for adults and Php50 for children. For senior citizens, entrance fee is waved every Tuesday (all you need to do is to present your Senior Citizen ID Card at the ticketing booth). If you want to be a part of The Davao Crocodile Park Shows, the show schedules are from Fridays to Sundays (only) at 4:30 PM.

I visited the place once with a friend. Unfortunately, it was a Monday which was why we weren't able to watch any of the shows. But nevertheless, it was worth our time. The park isn't that huge but my friend and I surely enjoyed walking around the park, seeing different animals and taking some photos of them (and with them).

The Davao Crocodile Park is really clean and neat. The people working there are approachable and polite. The cafeteria is not big but has everything you need to keep your thirst and hunger away. If you want, you can also visit some tiny restaurants along the Riverfront (just a few steps away from the park).

After visiting The Davao Crocodile Park, you can also swing by The Davao Butterfly House which is located only a few meters away.
