Just Got My Permanent Visa!

by - Wednesday, June 24, 2009

As some of you already know, I have already received my permanent visa. celebrate

We (me and my boyfriend) caught an early train to Sundsvall for the visa interview last 17 June 2009. The travel only took an hour and a half but was time enough to keep me dizzy and sick. But anyway, it was all worth it. We were at the Migration's Office at 10:15 am and was called in at exactly 10:30 as scheduled (as a rule in Sweden, be early or else your appointment's cancelled - no excuses accepted ). I was interviewed first for about 15 minutes while my boyfriend's interview only took 10 minutes and we were all done! We celebrated the occassion with a yummy lunch and was given the chance to stop 'till I drop! And believe me, after visiting all the boutiques, I did really drop tired and surrendered. Haha!

I was also advised to apply for citizenship sometime next year and that's going to be my next huge step!

Now that I already have my permanent visa, our plan to go home to the Philippines for a three-week stay will become a reality. We have booked tickets already and we'll be leaving Sweden on the 1st of July and will arrive in Manila on the night of the following day. I just can't wait to be with my family again. See you soon Philippines!
