The New "Updated Editor" Of Blogger

by - Friday, August 28, 2009

Have you checked the latest post editor of Blogger Dashboard? If not yet, better check it out and see if it will work better for your blogging style.

I've been sitting in front of my computer after picking up my orders at Bokia. I've already blog hopped while listening to Restaurant City's "toggle sounds FX" on the background, ate lunch (now presently having fries and cold Coke for snacks), greeted Frank, left comments, replied to comments and fixed a tiny portion of The Pastime Shelf. While going around my Blogger Dashboard, I noticed a small area under Settings which stated "Take a look at the latest features!" and so I did.

I am talking about the "Updated Editor" which looks a lot cleaner to me (refer to the photo below). Some add ups are the undo, redo, the strikethrough and the remove formatting buttons. I honestly love the look of my post editor now. Another great feature is that editing the image is a lot easier compared to the old editor. You simply have to add the photo and when the photo's already embedded on your post, you click the photo, drag it to wherever you want to place it on your post, click it and you'll be given options on whether you want the photo size to be small, medium or large or if you want the photo on the left, right or on the center part of the whole thing. Plus the remove button is also accessible upon clicking the image you've downloaded.
If you want to try the "Updated Editor" of Blogger, just go to your blog's dashboard, then settings, choose basic, scroll down the page until you find select post editor, select updated editor and then save settings. You're done. (Check the photos below for illustration)

When previewing your post, a separate box will appear in front of you.

I actually have no idea how long this Updated Editor has been in Blogger up to this moment. It might have been there for centuries and that I've only known about it today.

Rreminder: If you have installed smileys on your editor, the smiley section will be deleted. However, once you decide to use the old editor again, the smileys will at once appear on your editor page.

Have a great day everyone!
