My Snowy White Town

by - Tuesday, December 22, 2009

As promised on my A Terrible Monday Weather post, I will now be sharing to you my town's winter 2009 photos I have taken myself today.

This afternoon was lovely. The wind was calm and the sun lighted over our town for about five hours. The temperature was between minus 15 to 17°C. It was so cold that my nose froze and turned red like Rudolph --- although mine didn't shine at allangkatkening. I kept on removing my mittens whenever I wanted to take a photo of a scenery or a particular object. It came to a point when I could no longer feel my fingers. Oh my ... oh my ... oh my!

This winter is my third winter, the coldest and surprisingly the best! The very thick snow carpet outside somehow puts a smile on my frozen face.

Below are the shots I've taken today... my snowy white town:
Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow!
A promise to Mariuca: Will create my snowman later! Image and video hosting by TinyPic

  3. Now that's some snow. That is something we don't see around where I currently live too much. It is more icy conditions than snow although two states above me just got hit with a lot of snow over the weekend.

Stay warm my dear blugging Mary! ;) :)

  5. Maxi,
Awesome pics .. and snow it is. Actually Cincinnati gets snow, and sometimes a lot, but it seldom stay around! Several years ago it snowed 17 inches and it was all gone within a week!

By the way, the handbell video wasn't mine, search Alchemy Handbells Chinese Dance on YouTube. Enjoy!

    I'll be back before Christmas.

Hey Maxi, lovely pics, we do not see snow at all where I live, we do not even see frost in winter.
Lovely to see the snow in your pics however, looks quite romantic...haha...

Hope your day will be a lovely one!

  13. Well, you have no shortage of snow, that's for sure. I would not like the cold. I love San Francisco because it is so moderate, not too hot or too cold!
