My Sunday Shopping And The Fitting Room Breakdown
I visited my favorite boutique downtown last Sunday. I wanted to see if they have new arrivals on dresses, skirts and blouses which I could mix and match to wear on any occasion. I was lucky to find cute pieces that I would want to have in my wardrobe. I brought four pieces of dresses (two white, one black and one red), two short skirts and two blouses into the fitting room with me. While trying on one of the skirts, I overheard the lady on the other fitting room cursing about her not well shaped belly. I guess she found the dress (or skirt or whatever it was she was trying on) that she really wanted to buy. However, due to her not so likable abdomen, it seemed that she could not have the dress. She even mentioned her desire to go through a tummy tuck session in a cosmetic surgery in the UK to have the flat tummy she always wanted to have. She really sounded so depressed. Amazing how tiny walls in between fitting rooms could broadcast your sorrow, huh?
Anyway, back to the main character of the story who is ME, I trimmed down my choices to four items - two dresses, a blouse and a skirt. I spent some more minutes inside the fitting room trying to figure out which one of the dresses to bring home as I did not want to spend so much money that day. After the long period of figuring out which one to buy, I ended up going home with the four items I really wanted to have. I thought that there really was no sense of leaving one dress behind if I would just end up regretting the decision. So I went home happy and contented!
Hmmm... I hope that the girl (or woman) next door is having better days after her fitting room breakdown. After all, everyone deserves to be happy!
