My Long Thursday...
Philippine Time: 5:00AM
The clock has already striked 5 and I am still up. I have just finished watching three episodes of Big Bang Theory's 3rd Season. I am at the moment chatting with Bebe *yawn*. I'll stay up for fifteen more minutes and then it's time for me to hit the bed to get at least an hour of sleep. Today's schedule is to take the bus to Manila at 7 o'clock (that's two hours from now) or earlier, reach Manila at 9, be at dad's apartment before 9:30, drive to the domestic airport (hopefully, not much traffic) and fetch Madde and Micke who are flying from Cebu City and are scheduled to arrive in Manila at 10:35 via Cebu Pacific.
I've created a short list of what-to-do for today which is packed with important things to accomplish. After picking up Madde and Micke, we are going to have lunch together with my dad and uncle somewhere near Fort Santiago, go to the Bureau of Immigration (located near Fort Santiago) to extend Micke's tourist visa, proceed to the nearest Cathay Pacific Airways office to fix Madde's rescheduled flight back home, have dinner and hopefully drive to the vacation rental I've reserved just near my dad's apartment in Quezon City. It's definitely going to be a long day for me. Whew!
I've seen the "for rent" apartment online a couple of weeks ago, emailed the owner and luckily have been able to have the place reserved for us from tomorrow until the 1st of March. The place we will be staying in seems like one of the many luxury vacation rentals. However, compared to hotel prices, it's still considered cheaper. Another thing is unlike staying in hotels, vacation homes have a living room, a kitchen, bedrooms (in this case, we have two separate rooms), a bathroom and a balcony (fully furnished). Our unit also has a landline and a DSL internet connection which is really important especially for online students like me and Madde. I will certainly be dead tired after today's schedule. I am so glad that I can relax in my own room in the apartment today. That is a huge relief for sure.
If ever you will be traveling somewhere, try to look for vacation rentals instead of opting for hotel rooms. You will never regret such a choice.
Night night everyone! It's time for me to take a very very short nap. *sleep mode*

ReplyDeleteWhat a hectic day you've got yesterday! Thanks for updating us of your itinerary. Don't forget to smile, ok? :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, Maxi, good thing you are young and energetic!! Sounds like you are really keeping a hectic pace. I thought the vacation rental video was cute - sounds like your place is going to be perfect. I definitely agree about needing wi-fi. I've stayed in hotels that charge as much as $15.99/night for the convenience.
ReplyDelete... and I hear the tiredness in your words. Hope you got some rest.
