During our third day in Hong Kong, Bebe, Lo and I agreed to spend the day in Mong Kok which is located in the Yau Tsim Mong District. The first establishment we visited was the Langham Place, a mall, hotel and office complex which opened its doors to the public in 2004. My first impression? --- A huge W-O-W!
The first thing that has captured my interest are the Xpresscalators. There are a total of four Xpresscalators [two going up and two going down] inside the Langham Place. Two of these are located at the 4th floor which will lead you directly to the 8th floor. The other two can be found at the 8th floor which is connected to the 12th floor. If you are extremely afraid of heights, I suggest that you take the elevators instead. Since I am not an acrophobic [thank goodness!], I am able to ride the Xpresscalators twice while there. I tell you, these escalators are really super long!
We weren't really planning on shopping anything that day. We were saving our Hong Kong dollars for our trip to the Night Market. However, upon checking out CD Warehouse [located on the 12th floor], we couldn't resist the temptation. We ended up purchasing lots of DVDs and VCDs. The prices were really reasonable anyway so why not?
And well... before waving goodbye to the mall, I spent a second with my [not so] big bro Mario!
