My Mom, Her Dream And The Search For Hotels In Australia

by - Friday, October 01, 2010

Whenever I think of Australia, I think about three of Australia's five mainland state capitals ~ Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and brood over that day my mom has turned down an excellent job offer to work in Oz. My mom has sacrificed so much to make sure that she'll be spending enough time with her kids. I have to say that my mom's decision that very instance is worth it. We've grown under the care of our loving mother and reminiscing every moment that has passed by, my heart beats with so much gladness everyday knowing that I have one great mom.

Anyhooooo... in a few years time, I want to spend a week or two with my mom in Australia. Her job offer might have gone into the trash can a long time ago but it does not need to mean that her dream of experiencing life in Australia has to remain a dream. All that being said, the first destination will be Sydney for sure. She's been talking about how pretty Sydney looks on telly so I guess she deserves to see it for real. Just like what my boyfriend and I do when travelling, I'll be booking flights and hotel rooms online. Searching the world wide web for affordable flights and Sydney hotels will not be that difficult [I hope]. As early as now, I've been starting saving some money and searching through pages of hotel options at Booked.net, comparing prices and reading reviews. Thank you internet for making life so oh ~~~ a lot easier!

Aside from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane look so promising, too. I have a few friends from college and high school who are already residing in these areas so I'm thinking that if ever my mom and I get the chance to explore Australia, I'll make it a point to meet up with good old friends, too. Looking for decently priced Melbourne hotels and Brisbane hotels will definitely not become so much of a headache. Just awhile ago, I've caught a glimpse of the $78 per room per night rate at the Mantra Queen Hotel in Brisbane. Great price plus great reviews ~~~ this hotel will certainly be in my list of possible hotel of choice in Australia.

I can't wait to see that big smile on my mom's face by the time she's already living her Australian dream!
