Photos From Friday's Stage Play

by - Monday, March 28, 2011

We made it to the theater before all seats were taken.  I wasn't expecting to see a huge crowd of people, both young and old, storming the play.  Knowing that people were still interested to watch stage plays overwhelmed me a lot.

The play was entitled "Bevare oss väl" [Protect Us Well], telling Sweden's story of World War II.  Bevare oss väl was presented by Guldkornen, a group of adults with special needs who worked hand-in-hand with their instructors.  Tickets were sold at 140 Swedish crowns per person [+/- 22 USD] and started at exactly 7PM.

The entire play lasted for almost two hours.  Aside from the entertaining acts and lines, the audience were also amused with song and dance numbers.  I couldn't believe how talented they all were.  From beginning up to the end, the theater was alive with laughter, admiration and rounds of applause.

Enough with the introduction... here are some photos taken during and after the stage play:

Oh... and have I told you that my boyfriend's a teacher for special adults and that these lovely actors and actresses are his students [if not, have been his students at some point in time]?  Well now, you know! *wink*

It is a night I will never forget.  I will certainly watch this group of talented individuals perform on stage again next year.

Bye for now.  Hope you all enjoyed the photos!  Hugs!
