Sushi Me Not!
My respect for Japanese cuisine is strong that I'll forever be thankful for gyoza, tempura, miso soup, yakitori, yakisoba, ramen and fried rice. Sushi on the other hand, along with its sashimi buddy, just can't get pass my esophagus.
I've tried having sushi on half a dozen occasions. Sushi on the plate looks so appetizing. Problem is, once in my mouth, there's no other way for it to go but out.

According to Wikipedia, "Sushi is a Japanese dish consisting of cooked vinegared rice which is commonly topped with other ingredients, such as fish or other seafood, or put into rolls. Sliced raw fish by itself is called sashimi, as distinct from sushi."
Could it be that the main ingredient, the vinegar treated rice, is the one thing that is making me sick to my stomach? Nah. I can't blame it on the rice. My issue lies on the raw seafood that is served with it --- that's what I am sure of.
Before I finally publish this post, I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the victims of the tragic quake-tsunami that has swamped Japan a few days ago. Hope is in the air, it's everywhere... always.
