Isn't She Pretty?
Unfortunately, my thumbs lack the extraordinary power to make plants grow well. *sigh* I rarely buy pots of plants because I am aware that they usually don’t last for awhile and that really puts an ugly frown on my face.
A month ago, I thought that it would be a nice idea to bring my indoor plants out in the balcony so they could catch some sun and breathe in fresh air. It was sunny during the day but without really realizing, my plants were not that strong to stand the chilly spring nights. I did go out every morning to water them. I noticed that the leaves were starting to discolor but did not mind it at all. I thought that the leaves were just old and that it was time for them to hit the ground. I was wrong. I let another week pass before I finally decided to bring them back in --- the ones that were still alive, or well… almost half dead. Three did not make it. I was able to save eight though – five which I bought myself and three which were gifts from Ate Mina sometime in fall of 2010. Still lucky, ‘eh? *tsk tsk*
So anyway, a few weeks back, Mercy, a Pinay friend and neighbor dropped by the apartment and handed me a pot filled with flowers. It made my day. It was really lovely!

A pot of happiness |
I will be meeting my Pinay friends again tomorrow sometime after four in the afternoon. I’ll be bringing the pot back to Mercy --- empty --- so she can fill it up again with gorgeous flowers. Thank you Ate Mercy!
