The 27-year-old five-time Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, Amy Winehouse passed away today, 23 July 2011 at approximately 3.54PM [British Summer Time].  Winehouse was found dead in her home in Camden, London. 

Winehouse’s death according to a press release from the Metropolitan Police is still at the moment unexplained.  However, because the singer-songwriter has been in treatment since 2007, many speculate that her life has been cut short due to a drug overdose.  So sad.
