Sweden: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

by - Monday, December 19, 2011

This year’s winter is quite unique compared to the four winters I’ve experienced.  Temperature’s playing between +3°C and -3°C which is warmer than the between -5°C and -20°C that we’ve had for the past years.  In 2010, snow has been all over the place in as early as November but this time, snow has only started to paint the town white a couple of nights ago [3rd week of December].  Not the typical Swedish winter… weird, so weird.

But anyway, it does not matter if snow shower has been delayed this year.  What matters most is that, it’s here now so the kids can have fun and well… the kids at heart, too!  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!  Woo-hoo!

When the heavens finally decided to cover this part of Sweden with white cold love, I was in the neighboring town with my friends.  We spent a few hours outside to take photos and enjoy a snowy, snowy life!

We did enjoy the first day of heavy snow fall and we were hoping for more.  Crazy, ‘eh?

So, how is everybody’s December doing?  Freezing cold?  Cold?  Warm?  Hot?  Well, wherever you may be, I hope that you are having an awesome last few weeks of 2011!  Ciao for now!  I’ll be back… definitely

  1. I'd love to visit Europe. I have seen a lot of beautiful reviews of different European countries. I'm a thrill seeker who wants to explore the world as much as possible. I think Sweden is a very nice place. I'll include this country on my list.

  2. Last year was a very great year for me and my family. We visited Europe but we haven't had the chance to visit Sweden. However, we went to Hungary and London. My kids enjoyed the travel. We will surely include Sweden on our next travel vacation.

  3. I'd been to Sweden 2 years ago and I really had a lot of fun. It was also December during that time and I agree with you that winter in that place was so unique. By the way we stayed at Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in Stockholm. I wish I could visit other nearby countries too.
