That Calming Aftershave and His Freshly Shaven Face

My man doesn’t stop to surprise me.  He has this massive list in his head about things to do to amaze his lady.  He’s simply brilliant in turning my already happy days into even better ones.  We’ve been together since 2007 and believe me when I tell you that fireworks are still there.  I think that’s what they mean when they say that relationships are about falling in love with the same person over and over again.  Okay.  Stop with the cheesiness.  My heart’s giggling right now.  *wink*

So, one Friday ago, Bebe came into the bedroom with a lovely surprise.  Lights were off but the telly was on.  Unfortunately, I was already too tired from work and was just very ready to hit dreamland, having not much room to give him the attention he was expecting to get.  It took a minute or two before I heard him say, “Notice something?” while trying to clear his voice with the usual “Hmmm.  Hmmm.”

Since it was kinda dark, I had a difficult time figuring out what he meant.  It was when I smelled that calming fragrance of his aftershave lotion that woke me up.

Below are the different forms of aftershave for men: Get it in gel, balm or lotion.  Other types that aren’t included in the pic: cream, cologne and foam.
Thing is, my heart melts whenever I see my boyfriend’s face newly shaved - all clean and fresh.  Minus the beard and the moustache, he looks so much younger!  He usually only trims his facial hair so whenever he shaves his face super clean [happens like thrice a month, tops!] I get so overjoyed.  In most days, I can’t stop myself from pinching his chin while staring at his gorgeous eyes.  It might sound shallow to you but for me it’s something special.

Because my boyfriend made me speechless for awhile that night, he deserved a treat!  I gave him a back massage long enough until he dozed off to sleep.

How about you?  Do you prefer your man with a clean freshly shaven look or his hairy bearded version?  I mean, obviously we love them nonetheless but if you were to choose, which is which?
